Belief in Allah (SWT)

Verily, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, in the alternation of night and day, in the sailing of the ships through the ocean for the profit of people, in the water which Allah sends down from the skies reviving with it the dead earth and dispersing over it all kinds of beasts, in the change of the winds, and in the clouds that run their appointed courses between heaven and earth; in all of this, indeed, there are signs for rational people. (Al-Baqarah - 2:164).
All praise is due to Allah and may peace and blessing be upon his servant and Messenger Muhammad and on his household and all of his Companions.

The requisite belief of individuals in the Creator originated before the appearance of any evidence of this existence. The existence of this Supreme, Powerful and Wise Being Who is behind the creation of the universe has been the main concern of philosophers of all times. They have tried to establish or refute this idea with elaborate arguments that have sometimes been totally unconvincing, even to themselves. Instead of the philosophical approach, we shall rather go through the simple arguments of the Qur’an and the authentic Sunnah.

1. THE PURE NATURE IN PEOPLE (THE FITRAH)

The intuition of perceiving the existence of the Creator is inborn in human nature. It is the intuitive ability to distinguish between right and wrong, true and false. It is the human being’s instinctive realization of Allah’s existence and oneness, and his self surrender to Allah (subhaanahu wa ta’alaa). The Qur’an refers to this innate tendency as follows:

Therefore set your face (O Muhammad) steadfastly towards the true faith, turning away from all that is false, in accordance with the [pure Islamic] nature with which Allah has created people. No altering let there be in the laws of Allah’s creation. This is surely the True Religion, but most people do not know it. (Ar-Rum - 30:30).

This aayah indicates that people start with equal abilities to recognise their Lord. But their abilities may subsequently be blurred by self indulgence or unfavorable environmental influences. This is also depicted in the following hadith:

Every child is born with the pure fitrah [to recognise his Lord]; it is only his parents that later turn him into a Jew, a Christian, or a Magian. (Muslim).

2. THE GREATNESS AND PERFECTION OF THE CREATION

Every single creation in the universe is so well made, and so skillfully designed, that any sensible person cannot but submit to the existence of the All-Wise, Almighty, All-Knowing Being behind it all. Allah says:

Verily, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, in the alternation of night and day, in the sailing of the ships through the ocean for the profit of people, in the water which Allah sends down from the skies reviving with it the dead earth and dispersing over it all kinds of beasts, in the change of the winds, and in the clouds that run their appointed courses between heaven and earth; in all of this, indeed, there are signs for rational people. (Al-Baqarah - 2:164).

This passage is one of many in which the Qur’an appeals to those who use their reason to observe the daily wonders of nature, including the evidence of people’s own ingenuity (the ships), as indications of a conscious Power pervading the universe.
The creation is so intricate and yet so perfect that no defect can be detected anywhere, no matter how hard one tries.

3. THE WEAKNESS OF PEOPLE

The perfection of the creation should be in itself a sufficient proof of Allah’s existence. But when we add to that the limited power of people and their obvious inability to imitate any of Allah’s creation, certitude should engulf our spirits and we should bow low to the One who made all this wonderful world. The Qur’an repeatedly reminds us of our inability to parallel Allah’s creation. For example:

You (people) have been granted very little knowledge. (Al-Isra - 17:85)

He knows all that lies open before people and all that is hidden from them, whereas they cannot attain to ought of His knowledge save that which He wills them to attain. (Al-Baqarah - 2:255).

4. CASUALITY
The notion that every effect must have a cause is well established in the minds of people. On this notion they base all of their actions and responses. All scientific experiments have this implicitly built into them. Yet, when it comes to the creation of the universe that, by their standards, must have a cause and a Creator, they become hesitant to submit to the truth! Allah (subhaanahu wa ta’alaa) ridicules this attitude by some people. He asks them: Did you come into existence by yourself? Was it a mere chance and spontaneous generation that you came into being? Are you not the handicraft of a Wise and Wonderful Creator? You obviously did not create the wonders of the starry heavens and the fruitful globe of earth. But you can assign no definite cause to explain it, and you yourselves have no firm belief!
The absurdity of the unwillingness to admit the existence of a Creator initiating all of creation is exhibited in this argument to which they can give no reasonable answer since they have no firm belief about that.

Were they created of nothing? Or were they, perchance, their own creator? Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Surely they have no firm belief. (At-Tur 52:35)

The significance of obedience to parents

Assalamualikum warahmatullahi wabrakatuhu :)

Now a days we see so many youngster and teenagers disobeying parents. We ourselves somewhere must have too intentionally or unintentionally disobeyed our parents and hurt them! What does Islam tells us about the ones who disobey their parents? You will when you read below. May Allah give us all hidayah and tawfeek to understand the truth and love our parents for the scarifices they have made for us. Ameen, thumma ameen

The best gift we can give them for everything they did to us by praying for their akhirat and praying 5 times prayers on TIME, reciting Quran.Yes lets be a true practising muslim and make them proud. Tell them how much they mean to you and how much you love them and how much you long to be with them (whichever part of the world you are)

For sure this is the best gift we can give to them and for ourselves. Masha Allah Loving praents truly will definitly bring us all more closer to Allah (swt) Insha Allah

The significance of obedience to parents

Islam builds a family in which prevails mutual respect and care. Parents and children in Islam are bound together by mutual obligations and reciprocal arrangements. Allaah Says (what means): “…No mother should be harmed through her child, and no father through his child…” [Quran 2: 233]

The Quran has made it compulsory for the child to treat his parents with all goodness and mercy.

Every Muslim must show goodness and mercy to his parents throughout their lives. There is only one exception to this, and that is, if the parents ask their children to associate anything with Allaah and to commit sins, then the children must not obey their parents. In all cases, the children must show love and gratitude to their parents. They must always speak to them gently and respectfully. They must try their best to make them happy, provided they do not disobey Allaah in the process.

Allaah says (what means): “But if they (both) strive with you to make you join in worship with me others of which you have no knowledge, then obey them not; but behave with them in the world kindly…” [Quran 31:15]

Being patient and tolerant with parents:

The children must take great care not to react to what their parents have to say. If they say or do anything which is not liked or approved of by the children, then they must show patience and tolerance instead of giving vent to their anger. The children must scrupulously try to refrain from disobeying their parents since the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) regarded this as one of the grave sins.

Supplicating for them:

Far from showing signs of displeasure, the children must pray for them saying, as Allaah teaches us in the verse (which means): "…My Lord and Sustainer! Be kind and have mercy on them as they cherished, nurtured and sustained me in childhood.” [Quran 17: 24]

We must continue praying for them even after they die. Such prayer will be regarded as a continuous charity as the Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wa salllam, told us.

The greater right of the mother:

The children must be kinder and more grateful to their mothers since they took greater pains in their upbringing. That is why the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) emphasized that it is the mother who has the first claim on the child's care and attention.

Once a companion may Allaah be pleased with him asked the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) as to whom he should show more kindness. The Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) replied: "Your mother." He may Allaah be pleased with him asked who comes next and the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) again replied: "Your mother." He may Allaah be pleased with him asked the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) yet again who comes next. The Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) replied: “Your mother." When the companion may Allaah be pleased with him asked for the fourth time, only then did the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) reply: "Your father."

Recognizing their great status:

The Muslim should recognize the status of the parent and know his duties towards them. The status of parents in Islam is a status which mankind had not known before. Allaah Has placed the respect for the parents just one step below the belief in Allaah and true worship of Him.

Allaah says (what means): And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], "uff," and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word.” [Quran 17: 23]

The Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) placed kindness and respect towards parents just after the prayer offered on time as the prayer is the foundation of Islam.

‘Abdullaah Ibn Mas’ood may Allaah be pleased with him said: “I asked the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) which deed is most liked by Allaah? He sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: ‘Prayer offered on time.’ I asked him: ‘Then what? He sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: ‘Kindness and respect towards parents.’…” [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]

Knowing the duties towards them:

It is also the duty of the child to provide for his parents, if he is able to do so. The Quran sums up the whole matter in a master concept called Ihsaan, which denotes what is right, good and beautiful (i.e. showing to them kindness, compassion, gratitude, reverence and respect, praying for them and supporting them financially if they are in need.)

Concluding, we mention a verse that shows the significance of obedience and gratitude due to parents: Allaah says (what means): And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination.” [Quran 31:14]

So behave and be good to your parents no matter what and make them understand with patience, if at all you don't succeed in making them understand, and any arguments is about to start then try to avoid it and leave it on Allah, for sure he will make things easy for you when you leave all your trust in his hands. For sure he will guide us all Insha Allah

Also make sure you don't regret not loving or obeying ur parents. We all have own time to leave this world and meet our creator. Lets meet him with a smile on our face Subhanallah :)

Remember me in your prayers :)

YOU are in LOVE.............

You are in LOVE ...

You may be wondering how this secret love of yours is public, of whose intensity even you are unaware. You may not have realized, but in-fact you are in love with Allah(swt). Think about those moments of happiness that you shared with your Love. How happy you were when you made it to the mosque in spite of bad weather. The pleasure you felt when you left that scrumptious food just because you were not sure if it was halaal. And recall the way Allah(swt) reciprocated greater love by providing you with all the good things you desired and by bestowing you with the satisfaction that even the millionaires fail to enjoy.

Once you feel this love, then you dream about Allah(swt), about the moments you spent chatting with Him in the early hours before dawn, the small things you adopted just to please your Love, the small pains you endured for your Love. The tears that rolled down your face when you found the world and everything in it alien and missed your Love.... and to your surprise found Him at your side holding your hand and providing you with the support that the rest of the world failed to provide. You start counting the favors He bestowed on you and then try comparing your response. You feel sad by your attitude towards Him who really loved you and you showered all your attention on those things that would perish one day. While you are remembering Him, just realize that He is also remembering you, though you are just one of His creation and have no reason to be remembered by anyone. But He, the Ever Loving, remembers you more than you remember Him. If you remember Him and discuss your Love among your friends then He shall discuss you among an even better company.

On the authority of Abu Harayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Prophet (pbuh) said: Allah the Almighty said: I am as My servant thinks I am. I am with him when he makes mention of Me. If he makes mention of Me to himself, I make mention of him to Myself; and if he makes mention of Me in an assembly, I make mention of him in an assemble better than it. And if he draws near to Me an arm's length, I draw near to him a fathom's length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed. (Bukhari.)

The more your love for Allah(swt) increases, even more His love for you increases. You recite Quran and can see Him speaking to you directly. You eagerly wait for each prayer as it is your date with your Love, Allah(swt). You ask for forgiveness and He is ready to forgive anything and in any quantity. Time would come when you can't live without daily chatting with Him in the lonely night and spending hours in His worship. Discussing all the matters of the day and asking forgiveness for all the shortcomings and taking guidance for the future day. As your love increases so the desire to see Him increases, and you compete to attain the Firdous (Paradise) for whose inhabitants He shall provide His glimpse.

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: Allah (mighty and sublime be He) said:

Whosoever shows enmity to someone devoted to Me, I shall be at war with him. My servant draws not near to Me with anything more loved by Me than the religious duties I have enjoined upon him, and My servant continues to draw near to Me with supererogatory works so that I shall love him. When I love him I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him, and were he to ask Me for refuge, I would surely grant him it. I do not hesitate about anything as much as I hesitate about [seizing] the soul of My faithful servant: he hates death and I hate hurting him. (Bukhari.)

Your Love, Allah(swt), is the Most Honorable. If anyone shows enmity towards His love then He declares war against that person, group or nation. What you need to do is attain the position of being His love and you can achieve it by loving Him more than anything else. Then you can also taste the sweetness of faith. The taste that shall linger on your lips forever and force you to return to your Love time and again.

Narrated Anas(r.a.): The Prophet said, "Whoever possesses the following three qualities will taste the sweetness of faith:
1. The one to whom Allah and His Apostle become dearer than anything else.
2. Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah's sake.
3. Who hates to revert to disbelief after Allah has brought (saved) him out from it, as he hates to be thrown in fire."
(Bukhari.)

Thus, don’t delay in expressing your love. You know you love Allah(swt), so let your actions be testimony to this love and He shall embrace you with His Mercy and love you immensely and shower such blessings upon you that you may never have imagined.

Let's explore this Love and compete in becoming the most loved one by Allah(swt). May Allah(swt), The Merciful and Ever Loving, help us all attain this position of "Muqarraboon". Ameen.

'Seeing the Good ... in Everything'

You must have felt like that before? Unsure of how to respond to a particular situation ... due to being unsure of what the situation truly meant.
Not very long ago a companion of mine broke some news to me, some news that would affect her life in a way that I simply couldn't understand. Yet, through such a testing time Allah (Swt) gave her the courage to remind me;
"and it may be that you hate a thing though it is good for you; and love a thing though it is bad for you, Allah Knows and you know not." [Surah Al-Baqarah(2):216]
Truly I marvel at certain situations; the fact that sisters such as she - my dear companions - truly are unaware of how they give me strength, through their own ability to harbour it. So, as my companion informed me of her situation she so bravely concluded with a quote which, she probably has no idea, has stood as one of my bedrocks. Through testing times I have found immense solace and contentment, like nothing felt before. Dear readers, do not belittle the effect of a few words, for it may be those words that save a soul from destruction and consequently, gain you the ultimate love and pleasure of Allah (Swt). So I relate to you, what my companion related to me:

"When I wake up, I do not care what happens to me; whether it is good for me or bad for me, for I neither know whether it is good or bad. [And I trust in the decree of my Lord (Swt)]". [Umar ibn al-Khattab (ru)]

When hearing such beautiful and polished words, how can one not feel at ease? With the worries and concerns of this dunya quickly deteriorating . . . With that timeless quote in mind, I shall share with you a treasured moment of mine: I remember a day I felt completely un-phased with the life of this world, briskly walking through the heavy rain to my parked car, with my intuition beginning to kick in: something was about to happen. I got into my car and drove out from a side road, after double-checking the roads were clear in both directions. Suddenly, all I could hear was an incredibly loud "BEEEEEEEEEP! " The sound of a horn - an automatic warning that something was wrong. As I turned to my right I could see the car coming towards me at full speed and all I could think of was ... I was not going to make it. I closed my eyes and just waited, waited for the vehicle to crash into the right side of my car, and for my body to feel its complete impact. . .
When I opened my eyes, to my amazement, nothing had occurred. By the grace of Allah (swt) the man's car had stopped no more than about half a centimetre from mine. He appeared furious, as though he was just waiting to deal with me. As I sat shaking my head, the man became even more angered and so decided to get out of his car and walk towards me. He angrily inquired as to why I was shaking my head, to which I simply replied through teary eyes: "The strange thing is, I had a feeling something was going to happen today, but I'm just so thankful to God that nothing did." To my amazement the man looked at me with sympathetic eyes, all signs of his anger quickly vanishing and he responded, "God was on our side." Dear readers, the thought that my Lord (swt) enabled that man, even if it be for just one moment, to remember Him (swt), is a treasured moment. One that I have chosen not to forget... alhamdulillah.

Like Pearls on a Broken String - Reminder of Death

There was heavy uncomfortable silence in the room. Offering condolences is never easy. I sat quietly with my gaze fixed on the carpet motif. Infront of me was the mother of the deceased - a 26 yrs old only son. She was a woman who is memorizing the Quran & had so far preserved 1/3 of the Book in her heart. I wanted to see the impact of this Quran in her response to her loss. And, as expected, mashaAllah, she was a picture of composure & patience.
I couldn't offer any solace. No words seemed suitable enough to encompass the magnitude of her loss or the gravity of her pain. I imagined what she must be going through & tears trickled down my cheeks. I tried to wipe them discreetly but, perhaps, was unsuccessful. She passed me the tissue box on the table. No, this isn't right! I'm supposed to comfort her. Not the other way round. I disliked the fact that I had no control over my emotions. Had to do something to stop the tears. I took a deep breath and forced my mind to think of something different and totally unrelated. I wondered at the traffic noise that was occasionally filtering in through the open balcony. Alhumdullilah, I found poise again.
She mentioned about the righteousness of her son. She described how happy he was with his newly-married status, his prestigious job as a pilot of the international airlines, his various humanitarian projects… He seemed to the golden boy of their large extended family. He was loved by all. Yet, at the peak of his health & life, he died suddenly of a heart attack. She reminded us and herself of how we are constantly making long elaborate plans and how, Allah is making different plans for us. HIS plans prevail.
On my drive back that night, death, naturally, was on my mind. Yes, we know we'll die one day, but we really don't think of 'that day' being anywhere around the corner. 'We aren't old yet,' whispers the soul to fool us. But when we witness the passing away of a person our age (or younger), that foolish supposition gets a good earth-shaking jolt.
* * * * * * * *

The first time this realization hit me was at the news of the death of a class-mate, four years after leaving high school. Later that year, we had a class reunion party at someone's place. The excited girls had so much to share & inform each other, to fill the gaps of the years since we all parted. There were gay announcements of someone's engagement; another was eagerly planning her grand wedding; some boasted of career and promotions; one shared the pain of a miscarriage and others looked forward to starting their medical practice soon. We talked of how many of us made it to that party. The others were missed because they were now based in other countries.
Then, all of a sudden, someone mentioned her. A painful silence enveloped the room. A while later, someone broke the silence by narrating the good times she spent with her in class. But, suddenly, for the first time in our lives, we had all become acutely aware of our mortality. She was one of us. She was like us. She spent the countless days in school with us, experiencing the same moments of work and play as we did. Yet, she was in a different realm now. 'She could have been me,' was the thought that probably passed in each one's mind. After all, a healthy, lean 21 yrs old girl is not expected to die suddenly of heart failure.
We learned from her close friend that after leaving school she had enrolled for an Islamic studies course along with her medical school. Allah guided her at a time when most of us - her classmates - were heedless. She underwent a seachange. At the time of her death, she had been a conscientious practicing person.
Before leaving, we looked at our school group-photo. Like a string of pearls, the beaming youthful faces, side by side, stood gazing back at us. We prayed for her - the missing one among us.

It will soon be 10 yrs since she passed away. I believe Allah loves her, for it is indeed strange, otherwise, that every time I sit to make dua, she enters my thoughts, and I can't help but pray for her. It is Allah Who instills her remembrance in my mind & it is HE who makes me do dua for her so often. I'm sure countless people must be praying for her through Allah's Will.
The string has already been cut. One pearl has slipped out. The rest will soon scatter, unable to hold on to that flimsy thread. It's not a matter of 'when'. It's not a matter of 'who' next. The important question is: "Have I earned HIS Love? Would HE inspire others to pray for me after I'm gone?"

Muslims Forbidden from participating in Valentine's Day Celebration

Most of us fantasize the idea of giving and recieving gifts on a Valentine's day, though majority may agree that this shouldn't be only on any particular day, people have their arguments to support the idea of celebration.

One must understand that Islam is not against Love or the ways to show love, but to inculcate the habit of celebrating love on a particular day, and indulging in practices unapproved by the ALmighty, is what is opposed.

This article will help us understand and improve our outlook towards such celebration, InshaAllah.

MUSLIMS FORBIDDEN FROM PARTICIPATING IN VALENTINE'S DAY CELEBRATION

SOME people celebrate Yawm al-Hubb – Valentine’s Day – on February 14 [the second month of the Christian Gregorian calendar] every year by exchanging red roses as gifts. They also dress up in red clothing, and congratulate one another (on this occasion). Some sweet shops produce special sweets – red in colour – and draw hearts upon them. Some shops advertise their goods which are specially related to this day. What is the Islamic view [concerning the following]:
1. Celebrating this day?
2. Buying from these shops on this day?
3. Selling – by shop-owners who are not celebrating – the things which are used as gifts, to those who are celebrating?
May Allah reward you with all good!
The ruling
The clear evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah – and this is agreed upon by consensus (Ijmaa’) of the early generations of the Muslim Ummah – indicates that there are only two Eids in Islam (days of celebration): Eid al-Fitr (after the fast of Ramadan) and Eid al-Adha (after the standing at Arafah for pilgrimage).Every other Eid – whether it is connected to a person, group, incident or any other occasion – is an innovated Eid. It is not permissible for the Muslim people to participate in it, approve of it, make any show of happiness on its occasion, or assist in it in any way – since this will be transgressing the bounds of Allah.. and whoever transgresses the bounds of Allah, he has wronged his own self. [at-Talaaq 65:1]
If we add to this fabricated Eid the fact that it is one of the Eids of the disbelievers, it is sin upon sin. This is because it is Tashabbuh (imitation) of the disbelievers, and a type of Muwaalaat (loyalty) to them. And Allah has prohibited the believers from imitation of them and having love or loyalty for them in His Mighty Book (Al-Qur’an). It is also confirmed from the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam) that he said: Whoever imitates a people is one of them.
Eid al-Hubb (Valentine’s Day) comes under the category of what has been mentioned here, since it is one of the pagan Christian holidays. Hence it is not permissible for any Muslim, who believes in Allah and the Last Day, to participate in it, approve of it, or congratulate (anyone on that occasion). On the contrary, it is obligatory to abandon it and stay far away from it – in response to Allah and His Messenger, and to distance oneself from the anger of Allah and His punishment.
Additionally, it is forbidden for a Muslim to assist or help in this Eid, or any other of the forbidden/illegal celebrations in any way whatsoever – whether by food or drink, selling or buying, production, gift-giving, correspondence, announcements, etc. All of these things are considered as co-operating in sin and transgression and disobedience of Allah and His Messenger. Allah, the Glorious and Most High, says: ... and co-operate with one another in righteousness and piety, and do not co-operate in sin and transgression. And fear Allah! Verily Allah is severe in punishment. [al-Maa’idah 5:2]
Likewise, it is obligatory for every Muslim to adhere strictly to the Qur’an and Sunnah in every situation – especially in times of temptations and corruption. It is incumbent that he/she understand, be aware and be cautioned from falling into the deviations of those whom Allah is angry with (Jews) and those who are astray (Christians) and the immoral people who have no fear of punishment – nor hope of reward – from Allah, and who give no attention at all to Islam.
It is necessary for the Muslim to flee to Allah, the Most High, seeking His Hidaayah (Guidance) and Thabaat (Firmness) upon the Path. Verily, there is no Guide except Allah, and no One Who can Grant Firmness except Him. And the success is from Allah!
May the praise of Allah – among the assembly of angels – and security from all harm and evil be granted to our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.Aameen

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem.
Al-Hamdulilahi-Rabbil-Alameen-was-salatu-was-salamu-ala-rasool al-kareem. Allahu 'Alim:
Truly, it is Allah who has all Knowledge and we have only that which Allah bestows on us.

`Umar (may Allahswt be pleased with him) became unconscious after he was stabbed, and according to Al Miswar bin Makhramah, it was said: "Nothing would wake him up except the call to prayer, if he is still alive." They said to him, "The prayer has finished, O Chief of the Faithful!" He woke up and said, "The prayer, by Allah! Verily, there is no share in Islam for whoever abandons the prayer."
He performed the prayer while his wound was bleeding.

After ar-Rabi` bin Khaytham became partially paralyzed, he used to go to the mosque helped by two men. He was told :"O Abu Yazid! You have been given permission to pray at home." He said, "You have said the truth, but I heard the caller heard, 'Hayya `ala al-Falah (Come to success)', and I thought that whoever hears this call should answer it even by crawling."

SubhaanAllah!!!
just look at the Sahabah[companions of the Prophet SAllal-Lahu-Alayhi-wassalam(May Allahswt be pleased with them)...their attachment to Allahswt & Islaam!

Umar radhiAllahuanhu performed the Prayer WHILE HE WAS BLEEDING!!

how many of us leave the prayer ...just because we felt we are not well...may be a slight headache..oR may be fever...?OR MAYBE YOU DIDNOT FEEL LIKE PRAYING.....

Did you ever EVER wonder who would be at loss?Does your prayer benefit your LORD -Allahswt ?
NO..HE is not in need of you..your prayers DONOT benefit him..
ITS YOU Who will lose!

Informing us about the inhabitants of Hell, Allaah (SWT) says "(The people in Hell will be asked:) What has caused you to enter Hell? They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salât (prayers). Nor did we feed the poor. And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allaah hated) with vain-talkers. And we used to belie thc Day of Recompense. Until there came to us that which is certain (i.e., death). So no Intercession of intercessors will benefit them. (Sura Al-Muddaththir, ayah 42-48)

Allah (SWT) says "Then, there has succeeded them a posterity who have given up As-Salât (the prayers) [i.e. made their Salât (prayers) to be lost, either by not offering them or by not offering them perfectly or by not offering them in their proper fixed times, etc.] and have followed lusts. So they will be thrown in Hell. Except those who repent and believe (in the Oneness of Allâh and His Messenger Muhammad SAW), and work righteousness. Such will enter Paradise and they will not be wronged in aught." (Sura Maryam, ayat 59-60) note: Here we see what is the place for those who have abandoned the prayer but Allah (swt) is the most mercyful and gives us chances to repent and be saved.

Advice of the Prophet Muhammed (PBUH)

Companion of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Khalid ibn El Waleed narrated the following:

A Bedouin came one day to the Prophet (PBUH) and said to him, "O, Messenger of God! I've come to ask you a few questions about the affairs of this life and the Hereafter. "

Suggestions from God - Salah tul Istikhara

"Istikhara" means to seek goodness from Allah (Exalted is He), meaning when one intends to do an important task they do istikhara before the task. The one who does the istikhara is as if they request Allah Almighty that, O the Knower of Unseen (Exalted is He) guide me if this task is better for me or not?

According to Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 21, Number 263:
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah :The Prophet (Sallal Laho Alaihi Wasallam) used to teach us the way of doing Istikhara, in all matters as he taught us the Suras of the Quran. He said, "If anyone of you thinks of doing any job he should offer a two Rakat prayer other than the compulsory ones and say (after the prayer):

WAY TO PERFORM ISTIKHARA:
First pray Two Cycles (raka') of ritual Prayer (nafil) such that in the first raka' after Surah Fatiha (Allhamd…) recite Surah al-Kafirun (Chapter 109) and in the second raka' after Fatiha (Allhamd…) recite Surah al-Ikhlas (Chapter 112). After finishing prayer recite this (supplication/dua'): Dua in Arabic Text above.

TRANSLATION: "O Allah! I seek goodness from Your Knowledge and with Your Power (and Might) I seek strength, and I ask from You Your Great Blessings, because You have the Power and I do not have the power. You Know everything and I do not know, and You have knowledge of the unseen. Oh Allah! If in Your Knowledge this action ------------------------------------------------ (which I intend to do) is better for my religion and faith, for my life and end [death], for here [in this world] and the hereafter then make it destined for me and make it easy for me and then add blessings [baraka'] in it, for me. O Allah! In Your Knowledge if this action is bad for me, bad for my religion and faith, for my life and end [death], for here [in this world] and the hereafter then turn it away from me and turn me away from it and whatever is better for me, ordain [destine] that for me and then make me satisfied with it."

How many times?
It depends. Sometimes it takes only once to get the answer and sometimes it takes longer. It is better to do istakhara seven (7) times. If you have received an answer as explained in the section below, stop doing istikhara. You do not have to continue to do isitkhara for 7 days. It is better that right after reciting the supplication, given above, sleep with ablution (people who cannot keep the ablution for longer times due to health problems do not have to worry about ablution before falling asleep) facing the direction of the Qibla (facing the Qibla is not required but it is a Sunnat of our beloved Prophet Peace Be Upon Him). It is better to recite salutations (durood/ salawat) on the Prophet Allah's Grace and Peace be upon him before and after the above Dua (supplication).

Answer:
If in the dream one sees whiteness (means any thing white in color, for example: milk, white paper, white sky, white clothes, white light etc.) or greenness (means any thing green in color, for example: grass, plants, trees, green clothes, green light etc.) then understand that this task is better and if one sees redness (means any thing red in color, for example: blood, red clothing, red fruit, red light etc.) or blackness (means any thing black in color, for example: black water, black light, black clothings, black sky, black wall etc. ) then understand it is bad and avoid it.

If do not remember any dream or do not see any colors then follow your heart. Whatever intention grows stronger in your heart regarding your targated work follow it after seven days of Istakhara.

She's My Sister - Salaah part IV

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem.
Al-Hamdulilahi-Rabbil-Alameen-was-salatu-was-salamu-ala-rasool al-kareem. Allahu 'Alim:
Truly, it is Allah who has all Knowledge and we have only that which Allah bestows on us.

I have read this article more than once..And each time i read it...i get goosebumps..

Mohammad Alshareef translated the following story from the book "Azzaman Alqaadim" and gave it as his final speech at the MYNA East Zone conference. It is a very moving story which had the entire audience in tears. I hope that inshallah it moves you like it did me. Have Patience and Read On ! It's Really Worth

She's My Sister* - by Muhammad Alshareef
*Translated by Muhammad Alshareef from the book Azzaman Alqaadim.
------------ --------

Her cheeks were worn and sunken, and her skin hugged her bones. That didn't stop her because you could never catch her not reciting Qur'an. She was always vigil in her personal prayer room that our father had set up for her. Bowing, prostrating, raising her hands in prayer, was the way she was from dawn to sunset and back again; boredom was for other people.

As for me, I craved nothing more than fashion magazines and novels. I treated myself to videos until the trips to the rental place became my trademark. It's a saying that when something becomes habit, people tend to distinguish you by it. I was negligent in my responsibilities and my salah was characterized by laziness.

One night, after a long three hours of watching, I turned the video off. The adhan rose softly in the quiet night. I slipped peacefully into my blanket.

Her voice called me from her prayer room. "Yes? Would you like anything Noorah?" I asked.

With a sharp needle she popped my plans. "Don't sleep before you pray Fajr!"

Agghh! "There's still an hour before Fajr. That was only the first adhan," I said.

With those loving pinches of hers, she called me closer. She was like that even before the fierce sickness shook her spirit and shut her in bed. "Hanan, can you come sit beside me."

I could never refuse any of her requests; you could touch the purity and sincerity in her. "Yes, Noorah?"

"Please sit here."

"Alright, I'm sitting. What's on your mind?"

With the sweetest mono voice she began reciting:

Every soul shall taste death and you will merely be repaid your earnings on the Day of Resurrection.

She stopped thoughtfully. Then she asked, "Do you believe in death?"

"Of course I do," I replied.

"Do you believe that you shall be responsible for whatever you do, regardless of how small or large?"

"I do, but Allah is Forgiving and Merciful, and I've got a long life waiting for me."

Stop it Hanan! Are you not afraid of death and its abruptness? Take a look at Hind. She was younger than you but she died in a car accident. Death is age-blind and your age could never be a measure of when you shall die."

The darkness of the room filled my skin with fear. "I'm scared of the dark and now you made me scared of death. How am I supposed to go to sleep now? Noorah, I thought you promised you'd go with us on vacation during the summer break."

Her voice broke and her heart quivered. "I might be going on a long trip this year Hanan, but somewhere else. All of our lives are in Allah's hands and we all belong to Him."

My eyes welled and the tears slipped down both cheeks. I pondered my sisters grizzly sickness. The doctors had informed my father in private that there was not much hope Noorah was going to outlive the disease. She wasn't told, so I wondered who hinted to her. Or was it that she could sense the truth?

"What are you thinking about Hanan?" Her voice was sharp. "Do you think I am just saying this because I am sick? I hope not. In fact, I may live longer than people who are not sick. How long are you going to live Hanan? Perhaps twenty years? Maybe forty? Then what?" Through the dark she reached for my hand and squeezed gently. "There's no difference between us; we're all going to leave this world to live in Paradise or agonize in Hell. Listen to the words of Allah:

Anyone who is pushed away from the Fire and shown into Jannah will have triumphed.

I left my sister's room dazed, her words ringing in my ears: "May Allah guide you Hanan - don't forget your prayer."

I heard pounding on my door at eight o'clock in the morning. I don't usually wake up at this time. There was crying and confusion. O Allah, what happened?

Noorah's condition became critical after Fajr; they took her to the hospital immediately.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'oon.

There wasn't going to be any trips this summer. It was written that I would spend the summer at home.

It felt like an eternity had gone by when it was one o'clock in the afternoon. Mother phoned the hospital.

"Yes. You can come and see her now." Dad's voice had changed, and mother could sense something had gone deathly wrong. We left immediately.

Where was that avenue I used to travel and thought was so short? Why was it so very long now? Where was the cherished crowd and traffic that would give me a chance to gaze left and right? Everyone, just move out of our way!

Mother was shaking her head in her hands crying as she made du'a for her Noorah. We arrived at the hospital's main entrance. One man was moaning, while another was involved in an accident. A third man's eyes were iced. You couldn't tell if he was dead or alive.

Noorah was in intensive care. We skipped stairs to her floor. The nurse approached us. "Let me take you to her."

As we walked down the aisles the nurse went on expressing how sweet of a girl Noorah was. She somewhat reassured Mother that Noorah's condition had gotten better than what it was in the morning. "Sorry. No more than one visitor at a time," the nurse said.

This was the intensive care unit. Past the flurry white robes, through the small window in the door, I caught my sister's eyes. Mother was standing beside her. After about two minutes, mother came out unable to control her crying. "You may enter and say salaam to her on the condition that you do not speak too long," they told me. "Two minutes should be enough."

"How are you Noorah? You were fine last night sister, what happened?"

We held hands; she squeezed harmlessly. "Even now, alhamdulillah, I'm doing fine."

"Alhamdulillah. ..but...your hands are so cold."

I sat on her bedside and rested my fingers on her knee. She jerked it away. "Sorry, did I hurt you?"

"No, it is just that I remembered Allah's words."

Waltafatul saaqu bil saaq (One leg will be wrapped to the other leg [in the death shroud]).

"Hanan pray for me. I may be meeting the first day of the Hereafter very soon. It's a long journey and I haven't prepared enough good deeds in my suitcase."

A tear escaped my eye and ran down my cheek at her words. I cried and she joined me. The room blurred away and left us two sisters to cry together. Rivulets of tears splashed down on my sister's palm, which I held with both hands. Dad was now becoming more worried about me. I've never cried like that before

At home and upstairs in my room, I watched the sun pass away with a sorrowful day. Silence mingled in our corridors. One after another, my cousins came in my room. The visitors were many and all the voices from downstairs stirred together. Only one thing was clear at that point â€" Noorah had died!

I stopped distinguishing who came and who went. I couldn't remember what they said. O Allah, where was I? What was going on? I couldn't even cry anymore.

Later that week they told me what had happened. Dad had taken my hand to say goodbye to my sister for the last time. I had kissed Noorah's head.

I remember only one thing while seeing her spread on that bed â€" the bed that she was going to die on. I remembered the verse she recited:

One leg will be wrapped to the other leg (in the death shroud).

And I knew too well the truth of the next verse:

The drive on that day will be to your Lord (Allah)!

I tiptoed into her prayer room that night. Staring at the quiet dressers and silenced mirrors, I treasured the person that had shared my mother's stomach with me. Noorah was my twin sister.

I remembered who I had swapped sorrows with, who comforted my rainy days. I remembered who prayed for my guidance and who spent so many tears for many long nights telling me about death and accountability. May Allah save us all.

Tonight is Noorah's first night that she shall spend in her tomb. O Allah, have mercy on her and illumine her grave. This was her Qur'an and her prayer mat. And this was the spring, rose-colored dress that she told me she would hide until she got married; the dress she wanted to keep just for her husband.

I remembered my sister and cried over all the days that I had lost. I prayed to Allah to have mercy on me, accept me and forgive me. I prayed to Allah to keep her firm in her grave as she always liked to mention in her supplications.

At that moment, I stopped. I asked myself what if it was I who had died. Where would I be moving on to? Fear pressed me and the tears began all over again.

"Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar…" The first adhan rose softly from the masjid. It sounded so beautiful this time. I felt calm and relaxed as I repeated the mu'adhin's call. I wrapped the shawl around my shoulders and stood to pray Fajr. I prayed as if it was my last prayer, a farewell prayer, just like Noorah had done yesterday. It had been her last Fajr.

Now, and in sha Allah for the rest of my life, if I awake in the morning I do not count on being alive by evening, and in the evening I do not count on being alive by morning. We are all going on Noorah's journey. What have we prepared for it?

Salaah - Part III Regret-An article based on true story!!

Assalaam O Alikum warahmatullahi wabarkatuhu dears,

What if death suddenly came upon us? Are we prepared ?????
A question we must keep asking ourselves!

The following Article is a True incident...read it and Everything will change!!!!

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem.
Al-Hamdulilahi-Rabbil-Alameen-was-salatu-was-salamu-ala-rasool al-kareem. Allahu 'Alim:

Truly, it is Allah who has all Knowledge and we have only that which Allah bestows on us.

"

Muhammad Ash-Shareef

American University, Washington DC

A police officer in a Muslim country wrote the following letter to a Shaykh describing the events that led to his return to Allah. He recalls:

Seeing accidents and crash victims was a normal part of my day, but one incident was different.

My partner and I had parked on the shoulder of the highway and began to chat. In a random second, the scene shattered to the hideous sound of metal bodies becoming one. We threw our heads back to see what had happened: a head-on collision, the result of a vehicle slipping into the lane of the oncoming traffic.

You couldn't describe the carnage. Two young men sprawled in the first car, both in critical condition. We carried them gently away from the car and rested them on the ground.

Quickly we returned to assist the owner of the second car. He was dead. Back we went to the two young men lying side by side on the pavement.

My partner began dictating the Shahadah to them. "Say: La iIaha illAllah (there is no god but Allah), La iIaha illAllah…"

... their tongues wouldn't acknowledge. They started humming the hypnotic lyrics of some song. I was terrified. My partner had experience however and he kept repeating his instruction.

I stood watching, no movement, eyes locked. Never in my life had I seen anything similar to what was going on before me. In fact, I've never actually seen someone die, and never in such a satanic way.

My partner continued to instruct them to say the Shahadah but there was no use. The hum of their song came to a slow silence, slowly. The first one stopped and then the other. Not a stir. Dead.

We carried them to our patrol car, my partner made no effort to speak. Not a whisper between us two as we carried the corpses to the nearest hospital...

Dear sisters, Ubayy ibn Khalaf confronted Rasul Allah - sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam - one day with a rotted bone in his hand. He crushed it in front of his hands, let the wind blow it away and said, "Muhammad do you claim that Allah will bring these ashes to life?!?"

[Has not man considered how We created him from a drop of semen? Yet he is an open adversary! He makes something up to be compared with Us and forgets how he was created. He says, "Who will revive [our] bones after they have rotted away?]

Allah replied Ubayy and everyone else who dares make the mistake: [Say 'The one Who raised them up in the first place will revive them. He is aware of all creation.']

- Surah YaaSeen 36: 77-79 (From Tafseer Ibn Katheer)

Reflecting over the topic of this khutbah, I came across a website where readers submit stories of their biggest regret. For some, it was a lost love, for others it was a job they passed up, and for still others it was a flip of fate that ended in a horrific way.

But in all, the regrets were worldly candies that had been lost - short-lived pleasures of life. This is the world in which Allah decreed that summers always come to an end.

Those stories were of living beings recalling their regrets. However, what I would like to see is a website where the dead would recall their regrets! They would not regret the lost love, or the silly job or the twist of fate, they would regret every second that they did not spend worshiping Allah.

We are all here today because we claim that Laa ilaaha illa Allah Muhammadur Rasul Allah is what we believe. Nevertheless, the problem is that for many it is a belief that dropped its bags and sat down on the tongue and did not move on to penetrate the heart.

There are many men and women of our Deen for whom this was not the case. Muhammad ibn Abi Imran narrates: I heard someone ask our shaykh Hatim al-Asum how he reached the level he was at in reliance upon Allah. He replied, "I became convinced in four things (i.e. that these four things penetrated my heart). One, I am convinced that no one else will eat the provision Allah has decreed for me, so I am content. And two, I am convinced that no one else is going to do good works except me, so I am busy doing it myself. Three, I am certain death shall come unexpectedly, so I am busying myself in expectation of it. And four, I am certain I shall never escape the Sight of Allah, so I am shy to disobey him while He is watching."

Even though we all claim to believe what Hatim al-Asum is convinced of how many of us have it carried it past their tongue and allowed it a space in their heart.

We all know what the media does to distort facts on the nightly news. They take a long speech, cut and paste, and take words out of context. Well, the media is not the only one that takes things out of context. Consider the following verse:

[Say: "My servants who have acted extravagantly against themselves still do not despair of Allah's mercy. Allah forgives all offences; He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.]

So many of us have heard this verse out of context. It may seem like a human can do all the bad that they want and when they die they will go to heaven. But read on...

[And turn in repentance towards your Lord and commit yourselves peacefully to Him before torment comes to you; then you will not be supported.]
[Follow the finest part of whatever has been sent down to you from your Lord before torment comes upon you suddenly while you do not notice it.]

[Lest some soul should say: "Alas my grief that I was undutiful to Allah and I was indeed among those who scoffed (at the truth)]

- surah az-Zumar 39/53-56

This last verse is proof that the Qur'an cannot be translated. How do you explain the grief of 'Yaa Hassrataa!'? Imam At-Taahir ibn Aashoor tries explaining: Hasrah is extreme violent intoxicated regret. It is like a servant boy whose master charged him with the care of a flock. Thinking that the master was not watching, he slept and played, leaving the flock unattended. The flock went further and further away until a pack of wolves came and devoured every one. The regret is the regret that boy had to his master.

On this line, Yahya ibn Mu'aadh - rahimahullah - said, "The most naïve thing in my eyes is to linger in sin - with no regrets - hoping for a far off pardon. And to hope to come closer to Allah without doing anything. And to wait for the harvest of Jannah with the seeds of Hell - waiting for reward without any deeds."

You long for redemption but have not taken its road / Brother, boats don't sail in the desert!

Part 2

The police officer that we mentioned earlier fell back into routine, as he narrates, and started to drift from Allah. But another event happened to him that sealed the return. He continues:

... What an odd world. After some time, about six months, a strange accident took place. A young man was moving along the highway normally, but within one of the tunnels leading to the city, he was maimed by a flat tire.

To the side of the tunnel he parked and stepped to the back to remove the spare tire. The whistle of a speeding car from behind. In a second, it collided with the crippled car, the young man in-between. He fell to the ground with critical injuries.

I rushed to the scene, myself and another partner other than the first. Together we carried the young man's body into our patrol car and phoned the hospital to prepare for his arrival.

He was a young adult in his blossom years. Religious, you could tell from his appearance. He was mumbling when we carried him, but in our rush, we had not paid attention to what he was saying.

However, when we placed him on his back in the patrol car we could make it out. Through the pain his heart was reciting Qur'an! He was so immersed in the recitation ... Subhan Allah, you would have never said that this person was in intense pain.

Blood had soaked his clothes crimson red, his bones had clearly snapped in several places. To tell the truth, he looked like he was staring into the eyes of death.

He continued to read in his unique, tender voice. Reciting each verse in proper rhythm. In my entire life, I had never heard any recitation like it. I said to myself, I'm ... I'm going to instruct him to say the Shahadah just like I saw my friend doing; especially since I had previous experience.

My partner and I listened intently to that soft voice. I felt a shiver shock my back and up my arm, the hair stood.

Suddenly, the hymn ceased. I watched silently as his hand rose softly. He had his index finger pointed upward to the heavens, saying the Shahadah (La ilaha illa Allah/There is no god but Allah). Then ... his head slumpt. Nothing.

I jumped to the back seat, felt his hand, his heart, his breathing. He was dead!

I couldn't stop staring at him. A tear fell but I hid it in shame. I turned back to my partner and told him that the boy's life had ceased - he burst out loud crying. Seeing a man cry like that, I could not control myself and my partner faded away behind the fall of my own tears. The patrol car fogged from the emotions.

We arrived at the hospital. As we rushed through the corridors, we told all the doctors, nurses, and onlookers what had happened. So many people were affected by what we said, some stood there speechless and tearful.

No one wanted to lose sight of the boy until they had been assured of the time and place he would be buried.

One of the hospital staff phoned the boys home. His brother picked it up and was told of the accident.

His brother told us about him: He used to go out every Monday to visit his only grandmother outside of town. Whenever he visited her, he made sure to spend time with the poor children idling the streets and the orphans.

The town knew him - he was the one that would bring them the Islamic books and tapes. His dusty Mazda would be filled with rice and sugar and even candies – couldn't forget the candies – for those families who were in need.

He would not stand for anyone to discourage him from the long journey to that town. He would always politely reply that the long drive gave him time to review his Quran and listen to Islamic lectures on his cassette deck.

And ... and that with every step to the town he hoped for the reward he would find with Allah...

It is true, brothers and sisters, that Allah is Merciful and forgives and forgives.
[Yet I am quite Forgiving ... ] But to whom? [ ... towards anyone who turns (in repentance) and believes and acts honorable; then he will be guided.]

- Surah Taha 20/82

[O our people! Respond to Allah's Caller (Muhammad - sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam) and believe in him, Allah will forgive you of your sins and will save your from a painful torment.]

- Surah al-Ahqaf 46/31

Just like we reply someone's call when they phone us - this is Allah and His Messenger calling us! Let us answer.

There is a verse in the Qur'an that when Shaytaan read it he cried and felt regret. Read this verse, it is the door to our happiness in this life and the next:

[And those who, if they commit an immorality or wrong themselves, remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins - and who can forgive sins except Allah? - and who do not persist in what they have done while they know.]

Allah then continues: [For those - their reward is forgiveness from their Lord and gardens beneath which rivers flow (in Jannah), wherein they shall abide eternally. Excellent is the reward of the (righteous) workers.]

- Surah Ali-Imraan 3/135,136

Allah sent the Prophets and the books;
He sent the warners and glad tiders;
and He sent the reminders. And atop all that,
Allah comes down to Samaa' ad-Dunya - in a way befitting of His Majesty - in the third portion of the night - every night - calling to every one of His servants: "Is there anyone who shall make Dua' so that I shall accept His Du'a? Is there anyone who shall ask for pardon so that I may pardon him?"
SUBHANALLAH!!!!!

Dear sisters, let us make a pledge tonight to set our alarm clocks at 2 am in the morning. We all know that if there was some special sports event on tv or someone had to catch a plane at that time they would be capable of waking up.

Let's set the alarm to pray only 2 raka'at to Allah. And in Sajdah, recall just one sin - just one - between us and Allah and ask Allah ta'ala to forgive us for that sin, pledging that we shall never return to it.

Rasul Allah - sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam - taught us that Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His servant than a man who loses his camel in the desert and in that waste land loses hope of life; In that state he sits down awaiting death to come; then he opens his eyes and finds his camel standing beside him with all the provisions to take him home. In his extreme happiness he cries out: "O Allah, you are my servant and I am your Lord!!" He said it wrong from the bliss of happiness.

Rasul Allah - sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam - said that verily Allah is more happy with our towbah than this man!

Tonight at 2 am, let's all try to make Allah happy with us. Believe me, we won't regret it.

Ameen!

Aqeemus salaah!

hurry before its too late!!

(rem in Duas! )
